Just to make things simpler for you, we at International Movers offer you a free estimate prior to moving. Give us a call 2 - 3 months before you plan to relocate and we'll come and give you an estimate of how much it is going to cost you to help you plan your budget.
Here is a checklist that will help you :
- Plan items you would like to have shipped.
- Plan out and purchase well in advance, any new items that you would like to have shipped.
- Make a detailed list of items.
- Determine an approximate value of this inventory.
- Decide on a fixed date for moving.
- Arrange it so that you personally carry all important documents, valuables and money with you. This should include passports, visas, inoculation records etc.
- Keep a track of the invoices for all newly purchased items.
- Have all important shipping information with you like shipper's name and address, the date of sailing, expected arrival date, your container number, number of units and seal number.
- Provide a list of all purchases made that have been directly delivered to the warehouse.
- Put a value (in US dollars) on each item to be shipped for insurance purposes.
- Remember to give us your address abroad and the telephone number so that the shipper's office can easily contact you.
